The Launchpad @ BLJS

All About The Launchpad @ BLJS

Welcome to The Launchpad

The Launchpad at BLJS is one of Warwickshire’s Resourced Provisions. It is a purpose built specialist provision for pupils with the primary need of Communication and Interaction. It is based in an area at the far end of the lower school corridor with an additional area for practical group/social work. It also has its own outdoor area.

The Launchpad is a specialist provision within a mainstream setting, allowing pupils with communication and interaction difficulties to receive appropriate specialist support to address these needs and the opportunity to access a mainstream curriculum and be part of a mainstream peer group.

It offers a comparatively high adult to pupil ratio and it provides a happy, caring, nurturing and safe environment where every individual is valued and where children are motivated to achieve their fullest all-round potential. The Launchpad is currently staffed by the equivalent of one full time teacher and 2 teaching assistants – one full time and one part time. As the number of children steadily increases so will the staffing. The Launchpad can accommodate 8-10 pupils.
